Long-distance move from Denver, CO to Fort Lauderdale, FL

Late and terrible Customer Support

Ill start with the Good: My stuff got delivered at an affordable price and everything was delivered intact.

The Bad: My stuff got delivered 4.5 weeks after the date I requested it to be delivered. I was moving across the country and totally understand that delays happen in logistics. During this time, It was impossible to get accurate updates and I was lied the entire time that my stuff is shipping tomorrow and delivery is expected any day.

Moving is extremely stressful, and Midland Movers made my experience terrible.

Crew was exceptional

I contacted Midland Van Lines US to move me from ND to TN. Throughout my moves, I've had both positive and negative moving company experiences, but this one was the greatest by far. The Midland Van Lines US crew was exceptional, and the personnel was courteous and prompt. I would rate this experience 10 stars. I appreciate how simple and pleasant the shifting process was.

Long-distance move from Tulsa, OK to Lancaster, CA

Missing and Broken Property

I contacted Top Tier moving group on July 21, 2025 and they quoted 2618.80 however, they contracted the job out without my knowledge until the day of pick up. Midland Van Lines picked my things up and they are not even registered with BBB. Midland picked my things up on July 29 they charged an extra $1000 the driver said my furniture was over sized. I packed my things neatly in 25 totes and boxes most of the totes were zip tied. I tried contacting Top Tier and they would just transfer me to Midland. So I never got the price issue resolved. On August 29 another company Black Mountain Freight LLC owned by (Brandon Liggins out of TX) was contracted out by Midland and delivered my things. My patio table glass was missing which I watched the driver who picked it up wrap it in a blanket. Two of my totes were emptied out 5 wallets, 7 fanny packs, and 22 purses missing. One of my wallets had mine and my children's socials inside. They took my winter coat, some clothes, personal items, and my Epson art printer that I wrapped in my comforter and put at the bottom of the tote with my computer. They took the zip lock bag with the cartridges, my cameras, and all the cords so we can't use the computer. The delivery driver( Brook) also broke one of my dining room chairs and tried to tell me to go get the piece it's an easy fix. I immediately contacted his boss (Brandon) and he told me I had 90 days to file a claim however didn't have the information to give me and told me to contact Midland on Tuesday and he would review the tapes when he got back to his office. This was the most costly and unprofessional move I ever experienced. Of course they delivered labor day weekend so I couldn't reach out to anyone. On Sunday, August 31 after I went through all my things I texted the dispatcher, Adara from Midland that I was talking to the past month just so she knew what happened no response. All day Tuesday I tried calling the contractor (Brandon) back that delivered my things to see if he reviewed the tapes or had any updates, I also called Midland again no answer or call backs. Wednesday, September 3 Adara called and apologized she said she was going to talk to her boss and they would make things right. I asked for the claim information and never received it. I will never deal with Midland, Brandon Liggins, nor Top Tier ever again.

I would like my things some of them are priceless. My deceased mother and step mother's purses and fanny packs are among the things that were taken. I'm a victim of identity theft so for someone to have not only mine but children's social security cards I have issues with that. They have been safely inside my white and black wallet for well over 10 years. I am very disappointed in this whole moving experience with these companies. I did file a police report with the local Sheriff's Dept. because some things were stolen.

They handled everything very well.

We used Midland Van Lines US to pack up our possessions and store them all. Additionally, when our new house becomes available, we'll employ them to relocate our belongings. The packing and moving teams who provided us with the first price, were all admirable, and we were very pleased with their service. They are all very professional and polite, with a positive demeanor. We had excellent communication, and they were quite helpful in accommodating our time adjustments. Jack was kind and helpful during the organizing process. Strongly advised.

Excellent bargain.

James came to our home and gave us a quick and fair quote, explaining to us the details and terms of the service. He was very friendly and knowledgeable, and answered all our questions and concerns. The movers were also very efficient and careful, packing and moving our items with ease and professionalism. They also helped us set up our furniture in our new home, making sure that everything was in place and working. We highly recommend their services to anyone planning a move in the future.

Thank you for making it so easy

Midland Van Lines US saved my sanity during my cross-country move. The packers not only filled the truck efficiently, but they also knew how to secure items for a long drive. I was terrified something would get damaged over such a big distance, but everything arrived in mint condition—my expensive cookware, framed photos, you name it. Their timing was spot-on, too. Truly a home-run experience.

They were so incredible!

When my friend recommended Midland Van Lines US, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But after working with their pros, I totally understand the hype. They kept everything neat, used color-coded stickers that matched my labels, and ensured all my belongings arrived in the same condition they left in. They offered to help me reconnect my washing machine, which was a bonus! They know exactly what they’re doing.

Horrible Experience: Damage, Loss, Blackmail

Midland Van Lines is a ripoff company. Beware

Estimate: The virtual estimate walk through seemed to go well. I even provided photos of what needed to be moved to “Luke”, the sales person. The Estimate given was $5,800. I made a down payment via virtual check for $2,857.94.

NOTE: Luke would not return my calls.

Pick Up Day:

Day 1: The move was scheduled for 9:00 a.m. on July 24. The driver showed up at 3:00 p.m. and walked through the house and said the original estimate was “way off”. The price at that point went just beyond $11,000. I made a wire transfer for the amount of $6,111.25 (that also cost me a $20 wire fee).

Also note that the drive wreaked of marijuana smoke and left a stench throughout my house. Additionally, he threw multiple cigarette butts on my lawn and driveway.

Day 2: The movers showed up at 10:30 a.m. two and a half hours late. They packed and loaded until 10:00 p.m. Note that they refused to take a few items including a ceremonial bison skull and some glass lampshades. These items were carried by me on my trip to Iowa.

The movers refused to label and check off inventory list while loading the truck

Kitchen Items: Labeled ‘Garage”

Garage Items labeled Kitchen.

Delivery Day:

The movers said they’d be at my new house at 8:00 a.m. They showed up at 11:00.

When looking at the move, they said that they needed an additional $275 because of stairs. I had proof that stairs were covered and paid for in the bill of lading. I paid Omarbahlol $275 via cash app. NOTE that the Bill of Lading contract accommodated for stairs on delivery and I paid $75.00 per the contract. At that point, the two people that showed up carried one item into my house. This was at 11:15. At this point, they said they needed to go to the store and get something to drink. They never returned.

I called MIDLAND VAN LINES customer service:

Waited for 30 minutes before anyone picked up

Explained the situation

Was told that there was a dispute with the subcontractor that needed to be resolved.

Was told that they would deploy additional personnel to help with the unload.

Was asked to text screenshots of texts from subcontractors

I was told that the supervisor would call me back.

Rep would not give me the name of their subcontractor.

To this day: NO ONE EVER CALLED BACK! Very poor customer service.

Delivery:

Movers refused to adhere to “check in” numbers on boxes and furniture pieces.

As a result, missing pieces had to be identified as I was unpacking.

Movers dragged items up wooden front porch and splintered the wood on the top of each step:

Repair and repainting necessary

Movers dragged furniture and other items across hardwood floors severely scratching them.

“This Side Up” was not adhered to. Many cartons including kitchen and boxes labeled “fragile” were placed upside down.

The movers tried to refuse to take a couch into the basement saying it was “Impossible”.

Note: The couch was a straight shot to the basement and went down effortlessly after coaxing the movers.

Boxes delivered to wrong rooms / locations

Kitchen Items in Garage

Movers refused to relocate boxes dropped off in incorrect locations when asked.

Trustworthy Movers

I had a treadmill that I thought would be impossible to move. The team folded it down, wrapped the belt in plastic to prevent damage, and loaded it carefully. At the new place, they made sure it was positioned on a mat so it wouldn’t scuff the floors.

It was a wonderful experience with their movers. It was my first time ever hiring them but they surpassed all my expectations. They were vigilant and stuck to the time schedule – despite the unbearably hot weather. My valuables were delivered in pristine condition to me and on time!
